Wilmette Optimists Spur Students’ Creative Writing
WILMETTE, IL – March 23, 2012 is the deadline for 7th and 8th grade New Trier Township students to submit original short stories for the Wilmette Optimists Club annual Creative Writing Contest.
Prizes of $250, $150 and $100 will be awarded to the top three submissions as judged by a panel of professional journalists/authors. Winners will be asked to attend an Optimist meeting with their parents or a teacher to read their works.
All entries must be original short stories written in English. No poems, essays or other writing styles will be considered. Complete contest rules can be obtained from Ken Paxson firstname.lastname@example.org
